Slime Making Workshops at The Slime Kitchen: What to Expect

Slime making is more than slime. It is sensory.

At The Slime Kitchen, you make your own slime from start to finish. You pick a base, choose your mix-ins and scents, and mix it together by hand. Then you take it one step further: fill a Skweezerz with some of your slime and skweeze.

It is hands-on, a little messy in the best way, and it is made for anyone who likes to squish, stretch and play.

Quick answers

What is a slime making workshop?

A slime making workshop is a guided, hands-on session where you build your own slime by choosing the base, colors, mix-ins and scents. At The Slime Kitchen, the slime DIY is the heart of every visit. We have different types of workshops from Mad Scientist where you get to make your own slime from scratch while learning a little about the science behind it. We also have a sensory kids play workshop where you get to play and get messy and experience different sensory slime scapes.

What is Skweezerz?

Skweezerz™ is your DIY squishy. It is an expansion of our standard slime DIY. You make your own slime first, fill your Skweezerz with some of it at our Skweezerz machine, then skweeze.

Do I have to choose between making slime and making a Skweezerz?

No. They go together. Skweezerz is part of the expanded slime DIY experience. You make your slime, then enjoy it two ways.

How long does it take?

A typical slime DIY takes about 20 to 30 minutes and add another 10-15 minutes or so for the skweezerz but there is no time limit. Take the time you want. Stay and play!

What ages is it for?

There is no age limit. We recommend ages about 5 to 105. Tiny Tots has its own program; see the Tiny Tots page for details. Our favorite slime enthusiasts are over 70!

Is there a slime making place near me?

Yes you can visit any of our 19 locations for Slime DIY. For our expanded experience for the DIY Squishy, you can visit us in person at our participating stores: Stoneridge, Hillsdale, Oakridge, Stonestown, Corte Madera, Thousand Oaks, Oxnard, Mission Valley, Otay Ranch, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Clearwater and Louisville. Use the Visit menu or our locations page to find the closest one. Not near a store? We ship our Slime Kitchen-to-go anywhere in the United States.

Can I book a party or group?

Yes. Our standard party experience runs 1.5 hours. The expanded party package runs 2 hours and includes a slime and squishy DIY. See the parties page for current packages.

What is the difference between a slime factory and The Slime Kitchen?

“Slime factory” is a common way people search for places that make slime. At The Slime Kitchen you are the one making it: you design your slime in store, and you can take it home.
